More Awards for Audiofreaks Products

In its last 2006 issue, Hi-Fi+ magazine (UK) awarded three of our products with their annual awards in two categories:

The Legacy Award "recognises not just the excellence of the individual product, but also the consistent performance and longevity of the company behind it". Hi-Fi+ describes this award as "the nearest thing we can give to a blanket recommendation".

Product Of The Year award is given to "solid products that have that little bit extra, that certain something that elevates their performance above (in some cases way above) the norm".

In the December 2006 issue of the Stereophile magazine conrad-johnson design and their ACT2 valve line remote preamplifier were elected as the "2006 Joint Amplification Components" winner within an extremely competitive and strong performing group of nominated products.

As of 1st January 2007 we will be introducing an exchange scheme for all the UK owners of Magnum Dynalab FM tuners as well as those who currently own any other brand of a tuner and would like to upgrade or become owners of Magnum Dynalab products.

The essence of this incentive (details of the exchange scheme will be available on request from the 1st January 2007 by email or telephone) is to allow a realistic trade-in value for your existing tuner and exchange it for a new unit (any model) from the current Magnum Dynalab range of products. Owners of non-Magnum Dynalab tuners will be particularly encouraged to join the constantly growing UK "high-end radio family" and have their first Magnum Dynalab tuner as conveniently as possible.

When conrad-johnson launched the Aniversary Reference Triode (ART) preamplifier almost 10 years ago to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their existence within the industry, the global success of this remarkable product has been overwhelming and unanimous. Although the production run has been limited to only 250 individually numbered units, CJD improved it further in its "Series 2" iteration before this reference standard component was formally discontinued.

New conrad-johnson products followed and new knowledge in the areas of circuit topology and component choices such as PTFE (Teflon) capacitors, opened new horizons and moved the overall sound quality of all conrad-johnson products to another (higher) level. A few months ago, we were pleasantly surprised to hear from our friends in Virginia they still had 25 unused serial number plaques from the initial production run of the ART and have decided to create the "return of the magnificent ART" in its final (and extremely limited) "Series 3" version. We have received our first of the ART Series 3 preamplifier and can confirm its performance has clearly and radically benefitted from all the changes and improvements to an already exceptional circuit of the original concept. What a new flagship preamplifier for conrad-johnson to have and what a precious component for the lucky 20-odd music lovers to own!

Another year is coming to its end.
