SHORT NEWS OF THE MONTH (Oct '12)
No big revelations this month, but we have a number of short news which will address products already mentioned earlier this year, as well as announce some very important and, crucial products for 2013.
conrad-johnson began shipping the ARTsa valve stereo power amplifier a few weeks ago and we already have a unit in the UK, presently undergoing its first review to be published in good time before Season's Holidays. First impressions suggest quite clearly that all the majestic qualities of the ART Mono amplifiers have been retained with possible further refinements in some respects as a (positive) consequence of a lower power output. UK price of the ARTsa has been set at £17,995 inc VAT and it is available and built at the CJD factory to order.
Another new vital product for conrad-johnson's efforts in the coming year are the new LP125SA and LP125SA+ stereo power amplifiers. Developing healthy 125 watts per channel (KT-120 output valve) they are priced attractively at £7,995 and £9,995 inc VAT respectively. As per standard CJD practice, common platform enables two excellent derivatives suitable for use with any of their preamplifiers, ET3 and ET5 models in particular. We expect first deliveries of the new 125s late November and will introduce them in greater detail next month.
It took almost a year for Zanden Audio Systems to start shipping the new Model 6000 valve remote integrate amplifier (£19,995 inc VAT) and the one-chassis Model 1300 valve phono preamplifier. Kazutoshi Yamada's infinite quest for absolute sonic perfection has most certainly been worth waiting for! Both products shine in their own right and are wonderful additions to an already acclaimed range of other designs. The very same new push-pull and KT-120 output tube powered amplifier concept is also available as a stereo power amplifier (Model 8120) and costs £18,495 inc VAT. As always, Zanden products are handcrafted to order and offer a number of optional facilities to suit individual requirements.
Eagerly awaited Kuzma Stabi M is rapidly approaching completion of the first production run scheduled to ship late November/early December. Good news is that the waiting is over - bad news, however, is that almost the complete first production run has been sold out as 2012 went by, notwithstanding its fairly high cost (UK price estimated at £14,000 inc VAT). We are looking forward to our small allocation reaching UK before the end of the year.
